SEA GIRT — The Sea Girt Board of Education adopted the 2024/2025 school budget totaling $6,615,432 during the Thursday, April 25 board meeting.
Business Administrator Gregory Hillman presented this year’s budget for adoption and a public hearing for residents.
The school tax levy is $5,040,776, an increase of $98,838 since last year’s $4,941,938.
“As you know, your tax bill comes and it is broken down into several parts; there’s county taxes, municipal taxes and there’s school taxes. The overall school tax is 27% in Sea Girt,” said Hillman.
The tax rate is 0.1374 per $100 of assessed home value, an increase of 0.024 from last year’s $0.1350 rate.
