MANASQUAN — Under the blazing sun on Thursday, 256 Manasquan High School (MHS) students turned their tassels with diplomas in hand as they left Vic Kubu Warrior Field as the graduating class of 2024.
In keeping with MHS tradition, the June 20 procession of administrators and teachers donning black robes was led to the field by a bagpiper. The ceremony was officially opened by Assistant Principal Craig Murin and brought to order by Business Administrator Peter Crawley.
A sea of decorated caps glittered as students heard advice and well wishes for the future from their fellow peers and the MHS administration as their friends and family watched from the tightly packed stands.
The MHS senior choir proudly sang the national anthem and the school’s alma mater as students for the final time before Principal Robert Goodall welcomed students and attendees.
Goodall took pride in acknowledging the excellence and dedication of the class of 2024, both in and out of the classroom.
“This has been an unprecedented school year, and they smashed every obstacle put before them with perseverance and determination,” he said.
