POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Borough High School graduation has moved up to 2 p.m. today
Previously starting at 6 p.m., the school announced that due to the possibility of a storm later in the evening, the graduation will begin at 2 p.m. on the football field.
The high school seniors will take the field in their caps and gowns as families and members of the community are welcome to join the festivities. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside of the gymnasium with a limited number of people allowed to enter the gym.
The school administration said on their website, “Thank you for your patience while we monitor the weather. Based on the current forecast, there is a good chance for rain later this afternoon. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution and to help ensure that all families and friends can attend the ceremony, the graduation ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. today on Al Saner Field. The gates to enter the stadium will open at 1 pm. All graduates must arrive at the auditorium by 1 pm. The ceremony will also be live-streamed. The link for the graduation ceremony will be posted on the high school’s website by noon today. Once again, we appreciate your flexibility as we strive to make today’s ceremony a special event for our school community, family, friends and, most importantly, our graduates.”
