The Bradley Beach Historical Society will host a community art workshop to decorate vintage rocking chairs on Sunday, April 7 from 1-4 PM at the Bradley Beach Museum, 719 Main Street. Open to the public, the workshop will produce unique rocking chairs for display at the BBHS Summer Exhibition entitled “Rock ’n Remember” at the Museum from June 1 thru July 15. Artists – professional and amateur, famous and emerging, young and old, will work collaboratively to transform basic rockers into creations that convey the role of rocking chairs in every aspect of shore life. Materials will be supplied but participants are encouraged to search personal collections for buttons, yarn, fabric or even photos to adorn their rocker. There is no fee to participate, however, registration is requested. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (201) 993-9480 with name, contact information and number in group.
