POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Borough Board of Education honored its student representatives and recognized other students’ academic and athletic achievements at its meeting on June 16.
Superintendent Adam Angelozzi remarked that each time a board meeting takes place where there are student recognitions, it always takes a lot of time, which he said is not a terrible problem to have in the district.
The board honored its two student representatives, Sarah Sulzer and Abigail Henry, as this was their final board meeting as students.
Superintendent Angelozzi said, “On behalf of the entire board of education and the Point Pleasant Borough School District, I extend our gratitude to your exceptional service as student reps for the ‘24-’25 school year. Your commitment, dedication and advocacy for your peers has been invaluable. You have both faithfully and diligently served our district, putting your time and effort to help extend our mission of providing the best possible education experience for all students. We deeply appreciate your contributions to public education and the greater Point Pleasant Borough community.”
Henry will be attending the University of South Carolina and Sulzer will attend Ursinus College in Pennsylvania.
The students were presented with plaques and a signed copy of the Dr. Seuss book “Oh the Places You’ll Go.”
