BRICK TOWNSHIP — Mayor Lisa Crate has announced the grand re-opening of the Brick Township Teen Center will be on Tuesday, April 15, at 6 p.m.
The teen center is located in the Civic Plaza at 270 Chambers Bridge Road and will be open Mondays through Fridays from 2 to 7 p.m.
The center will begin its regular hours on Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m.
“I am beyond excited to finally have the teen center reopen its doors and welcome the young people of Brick Township,” said Mayor Crate. “As an educator for over 30 years, I know how important it is to keep young people engaged in the community. It is our hope and expectation that the teen center will become a beloved resource for young citizens.”
Originally opened in 2017 and closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the teen center has undergone a dynamic transformation, including new murals painted by Mayor Crate herself.
The revitalized space features Apple computers, board and video games, puzzles, arts and crafts, foosball, pop-a-shot basketball and dedicated homework spaces.
The center will be opened to all Brick residents in grades six through 12, will be completely free to attend and will offer something for everyone, according to a release.
