POINT PLEASANT BEACH — The Point Pleasant Beach Borough Council announced details of a budget workshop set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, prior to the 7:30 p.m. meeting of the mayor and council.
At the most recent council meeting on March 18, Council President Mike Ramos, who chairs the council’s finance, insurance and advertising subcommittee, announced that the workshop discussion would take place in the second floor meeting room of borough hall, 416 New Jersey Ave.
“There will be a public budget workshop held on April 1,” said the council president. “It will consist of a brief presentation by our CFO (chief financial officer) Christine Riehl, explaining the municipal budget process and some key components.”
Following the workshop, at the regularly scheduled meeting, a council vote is planned to introduce the budget.
“There will be a review of some of the budget items along with some historical comparisons,” Ramos said. “The workshop will conclude with a public question-and-answer session. Our meeting that night will start at 7:30, so we’re allocating an hour and a half to (the budget workshop).”
