POINT PLEASANT — Two new officers were approved by the Point Pleasant Borough council last meeting, Justin Tuzzolino and Logan Carter.
The dais unanimously approved the two local officers with a contractual salary of $46,097 effective Dec. 20, 2024.
Council President Antoinette DePaola, who was running the meeting in the mayor’s excused absence, said, “As you can see from the support and endorsement of the officers we have tonight, they are here to congratulate and welcome you into their force.”
Including Chief Adam Picca and Capt. Christopher Leonhardt, the court room was filled with officers from the department as they applauded their fellow police in joining their ranks.
“We have an incredible police force and I know you guys are going to do a great job. You are a great addition to the force. We can’t wait for you both to start,” said the council president.
Councilwoman Valerie Coulson said during her report, “I just want to start off by congratulating the two new officers, Tuzzolino and Carter. Congrats to them.”
Councilwoman Charlene Archer added to this, “I also wanted to congratulate the new officers, Justin Tuzzolino and Logan Carter, for today. I know they are both fine members of our police force and will have great success within our department.”
Council President DePaola, further said during her report, “I would like to congratulate again our officers…on their appointment to the Point Pleasant Police Department. Two young, energized and very committed officers who will be a great addition to the team now the chief has put together.”
