BELMAR — With the holidays fast approaching, the Belmar Historical Society (BHS) has announced the return of its annual pop-up shop.
The pop-up shop will be held on two Saturdays next month – Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 – from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Belmar History Society Museum, 900 E St., at the rear of the historic Union Firehouse.
A press release from the BHS promises “one-of-a-kind gifts that relate to the history of Belmar, making popular presents for family and friends.”
“It is the only place you can find a special gift for someone who loves Belmar,” a release states. “Give the gift of Belmar’s history with a small package of select Belmar Postcards neatly packed in a glassine bag with the Belmar Logo seal as a lovely gift. You will also find small plaques or frameable statements from school days in the 1800s to delight your friends. Take home a BHS ornament that is ideal to decorate your holiday tree or hang in a window all year. You can capture the spirit of Belmar with a reproduction of famous photos of Belmar during the early days by giving a gift your friends will cherish.”
New to this year’s pop-up shop are two items: a packet of seven Belmar postcards and a bright, new Belmar beach towel. Shoppers will also have a selection of maps, enlarged photos for framing, ornaments for tree or window, and more.
