Rosary Altar Society mum sale returns on Sept. 7-8

BAY HEAD — The Rosary Altar Society Annual Fall Mum Sale returns on Sept. 7 and 8, selling a variety of mums to benefit various charities that Sacred Heart Church donates to.

The mums will be sold in the Sacred Heart Church parking lot, 751 Main Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Mary Glass, mum sale coordinator and rosarian, told The Ocean Star, “This has been going on for many, many years. This is all to fundraiser for the Rosary Altar Society for Sacred Heart Church. We have been doing it the weekend after Labor Day for many years.”

All proceeds from this sale directly benefit the church and various charities and organizations the church and the Rosary Society donate to.

“We give whatever we raise to the local charities, that is why we want to keep doing it,” said Glass.
