POINT PLEASANT — The Friends of the Point Pleasant Library will be hosting a bus trip to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the trip is open to the public.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the friends invite the community to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The bus leaves at 8:45 a.m. from the Point Pleasant Borough Library, 834 Beaver Dam Rd. and will return between 4 – 4:30 p.m.
Checks should be payable to Friends of the Point Pleasant Library. The friends ask attendees to write “bus trip” on the memo line of the check.
They also ask attendees to place the check in an envelope and write the name(s) of each person for whom payment is being made on the front of the envelope. Mark an “S” after the name of a senior (65 and up). Payment can be dropped off at the library.
Tickets cost $65 per person and include the coach bus and museum admission.
Lisa Lieberson, president of the friends, told The Ocean Star, “This is the first bus trip the friends group is running since the pandemic. Our past bus trips raised a significant amount of funds for the library and we are hoping to continue this trend. The money we bring in from this fundraiser will go directly to the library for programming for both children and adults as well as much needed supplies for the library.”
