BRIELLE — The Brielle mayor and council introduced an ordinance amendment pertaining to salaries of employees in the borough, during their meeting on Monday, Nov. 13.
The amended ordinance will have a public hearing and vote to adopt at the council’s last 2023 meeting. It will specify the compensation each borough employee will receive by year’s end.
The resolution for the salaries ordinance will be at the last mayor and council meeting of 2023, which is currently yet to be announced due to the last Monday of the year being on Christmas Day, according to Borough Administrator Tom Nolan.
The original ordinance was adopted on Nov. 15, 2022, and the amendment will specify the salaries of 81 different borough positions by the end of 2023.
