SPRING LAKE — Incumbent Mayor Jennifer Naughton, Democrat, won re-election to her fifth full term as the mayor of Spring Lake, based on unofficial results reported by the Monmouth County Board of Elections as of press time. She ran uncontested.
Ms. Naughton received 641 votes. Her term as mayor will last four years.
Ms. Naughton has previously served a one-year unexpired term as mayor as well as three terms on the borough council.
A graduate of St. Catharine School, St. Rose High School and Montclair State University, she currently works as the president and CEO of Radiant Resources, an IT consulting and project management firm based in Spring Lake.
TWO COUNCIL CANDIDATES WIN UNCONTESTED
Incumbents Brendan Judge and Matthew Sagui, both Republicans, ran uncontested for reelection to the Spring Lake borough council. Their terms will last three years.
Mr. Judge received 731 votes and Mr. Sagui received 724 votes.
MORAN WINS BOE ELECTION
The board of education race was also uncontested, with incumbent Michael J. Moran as the only candidate. He received 694 votes.
Mr. Moran is retired and has lived in Spring Lake since 2010. His term will last three years.
These results are unofficial, as votes are still being counted.
