POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Borough High School Performing Arts Department is making final preparations for the fall play “Puffs,” which debuts next week.
The high school will be having shows on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $12 and all seats are reserved. Visit ppbhs.booktix.net for more information and tickets.
“This play, a parody of a very familiar Wizard School! [Due to copyright infringements we are not allowed to say the name],” said Rebecca Muraglia, assistant director, in a press release. The “Wizard School” is referring to the “Harry Potter” books and films.
This production, rather than focusing on the main character of “Harry Potter,” is about a lesser-known peer named Wayne Hopkins, who is sorted in the Puff house, at a certain school of magic.
The young man Wayne and the other Puffs want to learn how to be wizards and avoid attacks by evil wizards.
