BRADLEY BEACH — A talk on “The Importance of Exercise” will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 the 5th Avenue Gazebo as part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign.
The featured speaker will be Kathy Grinley, Senior Physical Therapist at Hackensack Meridian Rehab at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Ms. Grinley’s talk, which will be followed by a walk on the promenade, will address the overall importance of exercising as well as proper walking footwear, posture and movements to increase caloric burn.
The Mayor’s Wellness Campaign in Bradley Beach is part of a statewide initiative by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute to improve the overall health and wellness of New Jersey communities.
Mayor Larry Fox said, “This season’s MWC walks have brought experts encouraging beach safety, healthy aging, good foot care and, at last month’s session, the important combination of keeping you – and your dog – healthy.”
