SPRING LAKE — The Spring Lake Board of Education revealed Monday that the locker room renovation project at H.W. Mountz is nearing completion.
The main things left to be completed, as Superintendent Stephen LaValva told The Coast Star in a later phone call, are some ceiling renovations to the office of physical education teacher Robert Gramer, as well as some cosmetic paint application in the locker rooms themselves.
However, Mr. LaValva said, the rooms are already in use. “A little touch of paint doesn’t prohibit the students from using the space,” he said.
“We are very proud of the work that has been completed,” said Mr. LaValva during the Monday night meeting at the H.W. Mountz school. “I think they look sharp and I think you’ll agree there’s a little school spirit in there with the orange and black.”
