BRICK TOWNSHIP — Ahmad Singletary, 24, of Newark, has been charged with attempted burglary stemming from an incident on Royal Drive in Brick Township, Police Chief David Forrester has announced in a press release.
According to the chief, the suspect who was arrested was in possession of a handgun during an attempted home burglary that occurred on Sept. 15.
The arrest comes as a result of an investigation by the Brick Township Police Department’s Detective Bureau and detectives from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigations Unit.
The investigation was led by Detective Brian Farnkopf, who was able to identify Mr. Singletary as a suspect in several other investigations.
