LAKE COMO — A new resident volunteer has taken the reins of the borough’s Mommy and Me community program, Councilwoman Hawley Scull announced at last week’s council meeting.
“I am so proud to see that Lake Como Mommy and Me is in its third generation,” said Councilwoman Scull, who had started the program herself back in 2015 when she first joined the borough council. “I am so happy to see that this is still continuing here.”
The Mommy and Me group will now be led by Lake Como resident Molly Pfeiffer, according to the councilwoman. Meetup days have also been updated and are now held every Monday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
On nicer days with milder temperatures, the group gathers at various playgrounds in the Belmar area, however in the event of inclement weather, meetups are able to continue as scheduled at Lake Como Borough Hall, located at 1740 Main Street.
