SEA GIRT — In a collective effort between Harrigan’s Pub and Sea Girt Fire Company, the pub is holding their 5th Oktoberfest and Beer Tasting event on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 12 to 5 p.m. at Harrigan’s Pub, located at 703 Baltimore Boulevard.
The event is rain or shine, but due to impending rainy forecasts expected on Saturday, it may be moved from outside to inside.
The entry fee of $20 per person will include a spread of Oktoberfest type options like bratwurst and knockwurst to compliment the beers, free giveaways courtesy of the breweries and a live acoustic soloist, Johnny Moon. The festival expects anywhere up to 100 people.
All monies raised from the entrance fees will be donated directly to the Sea Girt Fire Company, to assist them in either purchasing new equipment to aid in various types of rescues, certified uniforms costs for new members and other expenses such as new tactics and electronics for radio communication.
