BRIELLE — The Brielle Board of Education honored eighth grade students from the school’s championship tennis team during a meeting on Wednesday, June 21.
Students from the first-place middle-school tennis team were recognized for their teamwork, camaraderie and sportsmanship throughout the spring season.
Interim Superintendent of Brielle School District John Russo also mentioned that despite tennis being known as an individual sport, the team members were able to come together and support each other throughout the season.
The team includes Eden Amorelli, Abigail Dorko, Declan Flynn, Mairead Gonzalez, Matthew Hedden, Robert Kinsky, Dax Klein, Nicholas Kutcher, Cameron Linstra, Christopher Matthaei, Anella Petracco, Maggie Siano and John Visceglia.
