WALL TOWNSHIP —The annual Wall Fair, sponsored by the Wall Recreation Department, will return to Wall Community Park this week starting Thursday, June 29, with a sendoff fireworks display scheduled to light up the night at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The fair grounds will not disappoint the pickiest of eaters or ‘scardiest’ of cats, as there will be plenty of food, rides, games and live music for all to enjoy.
The dates and times are Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, July 2, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Parking for the event, including handicapped spots, will be at the Wall Township Pop Warner football fields, located off Baileys Corner Road, just north of the Municipal Complex.
On-street parking is permitted on Williamsburg, Colonial and Concord Drives. There will be no parking allowed on Baileys Corner or Allaire roads.
Police Department personnel will be present to direct and assist with the flow of traffic, and upon completion of the fair, they will direct traffic from the north parking lot of the Pop Warner Complex north on Baileys Corner Road toward 18th Avenue. Police will direct traffic from the Municipal Complex east on Allaire Road.
Wall Township police also stated that portions of Allaire Road and Baileys Corner Road will be closed during this time to expedite traffic.
According to organizers, the addition of new rides, entertainment, vendors and other activities has helped the fair continue to flourish over the years.
“It’s always a wonderful event,” said Leah Wehner, Program Coordinator for Wall Recreation.
