BAY HEAD — Manasquan Bank in Bay Head presented the borough with a $10,000 donation on June 14 to go toward a beautification project around the borough’s clock tower in front of the municipal building.
Councilwoman Holly MacPherson said she has been assisting the council with beautification of the borough on a very small budget, and this donation will help the borough with a highly needed project.
“We are very grateful for this donation, we’ve been doing a lot to keep Bay Head looking the best it can,” said Ms. MacPherson. “This donation will go a long way.”
“Manasquan Bank is our neighbor and noticed us taking on some beautification projects like the new flower planters, paver refurbishments and other items,” said Mayor William Curtis. “They were gracious enough to donate towards this project because they saw the value in it as it increases the appeal of our wonderful community. They are a wonderful local partner and they care deeply about the communities they serve with their local branches.”
Borough Administrator Frank Pannucci said the donation will be formally accepted via resolution at the next council meeting to satisfy state laws, even though the work on the tower has already been completed.
