BRIELLE — The borough planning board approved a plan for construction of an open front porch at a residence on Schoolhouse Road during Tuesday night’s meeting.
Applicants Dawn and Michael Kurc, came before the board, to present their application for the addition of a front porch, which would require a minimum 40-foot setback.
As part of his application, Mr. Kurc, who is also a builder, created a one-page document to give the board a clear understanding of the property dimensions.
According to Mr. Kurc, the proposed front porch would be roughly 19.2 inches wide and 8 feet in depth.
“I am hoping to do a little front porch cover, little seating area underneath on the right-hand side, left-hand side where you would come in the front door and give a little more niceness to the front of the home,” said Mr. Kurc.
