BAY HEAD — The borough of Bay Head has received two grants to aid in the towns cleanup programs and the police departments Click-It-or-Ticket program.
The Clean Communities Council of New Jersey in conjunction with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection then disperses the money to various municipalities and counties in New Jersey that prove that they are working toward and promoting a clean environment.
Each year, the council files a report with New Jersey Clean Communities, a statewide litter-abatement program created by the passage of the Clean Communities Act in 1986. Here, they request funds to help keep Bay Head clean.
“We’re grateful to have been able to receive grant money for the last few years in a row. The awards are scaled to the size of your community, so Bay Head this year received $5,846,” borough Administrator Frank Pannucci said.
