WALL TOWNSHIP — Long-time Wall Township public servant Ralph Addonizio resigned from his positions on two township boards effective May 10 – relinquishing his roles as chairman of the Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Committee and voting member on the Wall Township Board of Adjustment.
Mr. Addonizio declared his resignation in an email to Wall Township Mayor Timothy Farrell dated May 10. He remains a member of the Wall Township Board of Education, which he had served as president from 2020 to 2022.
“I’m tired. We live in a big town. I’m trying to turn the corner for now … I’m kind of done, I’m taking a little break. I just wanted to take a step back because of everything that I do,” he said.
The Wall resident cited the intensive time commitment that accompanies serving on three boards: “I have a full day of work and meetings a couple of nights a week,” he said. “I put [civic] meetings before other things with friends.”
He said he is looking forward to quieter summer evenings, especially as school board activity “is slower in the summer.”
Mr. Addonizio currently works full-time as co-owner of Above Par Landscaping & Construction, LLC, which he owns with his wife.
