POINT PLEASANT — Mayor Robert Sabosik and Council President Valerie Coulson attended the Point Pleasant High School Senior Awards Breakfast to present five students with the Mayor and Council Awards.
The awards were for female athlete, male athlete, performing arts achievement, fine arts and academic achievement.
Mayor Sabosik said, “Point Pleasant’s future is in good hands with these young men and women. They will undoubtedly not only make their families proud, but they will make our community proud as well.”
The recipient of the Mayor and Council of Point Pleasant Outstanding Female Athletic Award was awarded to Katelyn Fisher, who will be attending Monmouth University in the fall.
The recipient of the Mayor and Council of Point Pleasant Outstanding Achievement Award for Male Athlete was awarded to Connor Cilento.
Jackie Murphy was awarded with the performing arts awards. Jackie plans to major in Medical Studies at DeSales University.
The recipient of the Mayor and Council of Point Pleasant Fine Arts Award went to Sydney Mahieu.
The recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Academics was awarded to Sarah Rusher.
