BRICK TOWNSHIP — The construction launched last fall on the Osborn Dunes at South Mantoloking’s duplex residence is continuing as work gets underway on five more buildings that will add 10 additional units.
The development once completed will be home to 67 oceanside homes.
The company that is in charge of the construction, Walters, based out of Barnegat, held a ground-breaking ceremony last year on the 10th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy.
Osborn Dunes at South Mantoloking were formerly known as Camp Osborn and is located on the barrier island section of Brick, between Mantoloking and Normandy Beach.
The community once consisted of single-family bungalows that were destroyed by the tidal surge and a fire following the historic storm.
