MANASQUAN — Over 560 people supported the first ever Manasquan Backyard Crawl last Saturday.
The backyard crawl’s proceeds benefited the family of Aaron Van Trease of Manasquan, who is dealing with injuries suffered during a varsity football game at St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel and the Manasquan First Aid Squad. Tiffany Prime, organizer of the event, said the crawl raised over $15,000.
Ms. Prime said, “The crawl turned out to be absolutely perfect. Every little detail came together to make it an epic day. From the beginning the hosts and I worked together closely and planned the day. I couldn’t have asked for a stronger group of hosts than them to help kick off the first ever of its kind Manasquan Backyard Crawl.”
The event began at 3 p.m. where people went to various backyards all over town. There were two routes participants could have taken, an east route and a west route.
