MANASQUAN – The Sea Lavender Garden Club has announced its biannual Garden Tour scheduled for Thursday, June 22, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
In the spirit of town beautification and to encourage interest in all phases of home gardening, there are nine home gardens located throughout Manasquan and one property in Brielle that are available for viewing this year. As was the case in recent years, musicians and artists will be showcased along the tour. The tour was organized by club members Nancy Tischio and Donna Fletcher-Brown.
Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased at Booktowne, Manasquan Lighting and Yellow Daisy in Manasquan or through EventBrite. Tickets are also available for purchase for $30 on the day of the tour at the Gazebo at 25 Abe Voorhees Drive, next to the Manasquan Post Office.
Residents can visit the following local restaurants and receive a 20 percent discount [before taxes and tip] for lunch on the day of the tour, by presenting the ticket to the event. These restaurants are Town Grill, 168 Main St.; Peach Pit Cafe, 152 Main St.; Max Devros, 142 Main St.; Qua Pizza, 179 Main St.; and Paramount Diner, 130 Main St.
In the case of inclement weather, the Garden Tour will be rescheduled for Friday, June 23. This will be announced on the Sea Lavender Garden Club Facebook page.
