POINT PLEASANT BEACH — The Point Beach Recreation Committee is gearing up for summer and will be offering many options for residents and visitors alike.
“There is a lot to do in the summer in town with the beach and boardwalk and downtown,” said Council President and Recreation Committee Liaison Doug Vitale. “Some of these events are great just to give back to the residents and visitors, as well. It is a good opportunity for kids to get involved.”
The jewel of the summer programs is the annual Summer Camp that runs from July 11 to Aug. 19.
“The summer park program is a staple in Point Pleasant Beach and it is four to five hours in the morning,” said Mr. Vitale. “It is a daily camp that offers a ton of activities for kids of all ages.”
The camp registration will be live on social media and the department will be sending out emails to previous participants to re-register for the new season.
Summer camp will take place from 8:15 a.m. through 12:45 p.m. for campers and 8 a.m. through 1 p.m. for counselors. Price for a resident full-time is $375 and nonresident full-time is $500. Weekly residents pay $125, which is capped at $375. Weekly non-residents pay $200, capped at $500.
