BAY HEAD — Bay Head Home and School Association is calling all yard game enthusiasts to participate in its annual Corn Hole Tournament on Thursday, April 27. This year, the tournament will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and the school is hoping to host the event outdoors, weather permitting.
“They did it last year while just coming out of COVID and came up with a new fundraising idea,” said Bay Head School Superintendent Steve Corso. “It is for the benefit of trying to help our sports teams.”
The events started last year and, according to Mr. Corso, there was a large turnout. The school uses this event as a Bay Head School Sports Booster Fundraiser, with the money going to the annual sports awards banquet for student athletes.
The event costs $20 per team and can consist of family or friends with a minimum of two players or a maximum of four players. Attendees can purchase pizza, snacks and drinks during the tournament
“It is a fun night,” said Mr. Corso.
The end of the tournament will result in the awarding of first and second place. There will also be a popsicle party awarded to the class who has the most students attend the event.
