WALL TOWNSHIP — At 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, Wall police, fire and first aid personnel responded to a three-vehicle accident on Route 138 at Allenwood Road.
According to Police Chief Sean O’Halloran, the response by police and fire personnel resulted in the rescue of one trapped motorist and extinguishing of a vehicle fire. Five persons were transported to a hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed by the Department of Transportation for nearly three hours during the response.
“We are totally committed to the safety of our community,” said Chief O’Halloran.
