LAVALLETTE — Ocean County Library Upper Shores Branch is one of 30 finalists for the 2023 National Medal for Museum and Library. The distinction was honored by the borough with a proclamation.
The National Medal is the highest award granted by the country to libraries and museums that have made a significant contribution to their local communities. The award has recognized organizations that excel in serving their communities for more than 25 years.
