POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Board of Education approved the submission of the school district budget for 2023-24 to the Ocean County Executive Superintendent of Schools at their March 13 workshop meeting.
The total school budget for the Point Pleasant School District is scheduled to be $53,023,516 with a local tax levy of $40,925,126.
The average home in Point Pleasant valued at $398,000 will see a $21 increase, which according to the board is a half a penny increase.
According to the board, the value of an average home in the municipality may change from the start of budget season in January to the height of budget season in March.
The budget of $53 million contains $49,201,707 from the total general fund, $2,695,794 from the total special revenue fund and $1,126,015 from the total debt service fund.
