POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce recognized and honored the newly appointed Board of Directors and the recipients of the Leadership Awards at their recent gala at the Lobster Shanty.
The new Board of Directors was welcomed by Mayor Robert Sabosik, Borough Administrator Frank Pannucci and borough council members Charlene Archer, Antoinette DePaola and Valerie Coulson.
Mr. Pannucci said, “This is now my eighth year having the honor to swear in the executive board, and I see some old faces but also a large amount of new faces.
“That speaks volumes for this chamber, it shows that our businesses are able to survive and last in Point Boro and it also speaks to our future because we have an outstanding bench of young entrepreneurs ready to take over the reins of leadership. There is truly no better place to shop, dine and discover than [Point Borough] and that’s because of the cooperation between Mayor Sabosik, the Borough Council and our local business community.”
The executive board inducted include Michelle Coffey as president, Kelly McCloskey as vice president, Jack McHugh as treasurer, Megan Trapanese as secretary and Maureen Ellingsen, Rita Permuko, Stephen Ward, Matthew Kindler, Inger Britt Knapp, Stefan Byramji and Jason Phillips as directors.
Mayor Sabosik and council also honor five local businesses with Leadership Awards for their continued service to the community.
