BRIELLE — Integrity, Charity, Family United Charity [IFC] hosted its fourth annual Table Tennis Tournament on Jan. 28 at the Brielle Firehouse.
Over 50 guests, including participants and spectators, came ready to play and compete at the family-friendly event.
The IFC United was founded on Nov. 1 in 2018 by Eliot Arlo Colon and Andrew Chermark to “unite skills, experiences and resources of local individuals with the core purpose of pooling energies in support of members and local charitable causes to create a better community,” as stated on their website.
It states the organization focuses on “using collective strength, energy and resources, to support causes that may be missed by mainstream charitable giving.”
The foundation raised over $2,500 for charity, including a box of non-perishable food collected at the door with their biggest fundraiser of the year.
“The ways in which we have helped has ranged from physically resurfacing an elderly couple’s walkway so they could get to their car safely using a walker….to student humanitarian scholarships… to assisting those in dire situations that are private, but where we can offer assistance to help ‘take the edge off’ of their situation,” stated Executive Board Advisor Lorene Cutrino Colon.
She also said that they donate to other local organizations as well.
