POINT PLEASANT BEACH— The Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee has announced a beloved event returning to the borough in the upcoming months.
First is the third annual “Show Us Your Heart” Bingo Scavenger Hunt, which has seen success in the past two years throughout the downtown shopping district. On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Recreation Committee will be partnering with Sweet Revenge Custom Chocolates to co-host the event, which has a required pre-registration and is limited to the first 300 children who register.
The event’s check-in lasts from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the parking lot between The Beanery and Bam Bam Burger at 522 Bay Avenue. There, all registered children will receive a Valentine’s Day-themed bingo card and can stroll around Arnold and Bay avenues looking for the bingo shapes in the over 25 participating storefront windows. Once a child’s card is full and ‘Bingo!’ is yelled, the cards can be brought back to the check-in location and winners can receive a prize and a treat from Sweet Revenge.
Additionally, families can show their proof of purchase receipts for anything bought from participating businesses during the event and get entry tickets to win prizes in a drawing held at the check-in location at 2:30 p.m. Winners do not need to be present, and the committee can call whoever wins.
The event is dog-friendly and includes additional activities such as Valentine’s crafts, face painting, a DJ and more. The event registration form can be found at the borough’s recreation committee website, and any additional questions can be directed to recreationcommittee@pointbeach.org.
