LAVALLETTE — Jared Grasso was sworn into a new three-year term on Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Board of Education reorganization meeting, and also was named board president. He was first sworn as a member of the board in 2020, and is starting his second term this year.
Board member Mike Valeri was then selected as vice president of the board.
The board also recognized former board president Elizabeth D’Aloisio for her service to the district.
“Beth, I want to thank you for your leadership over the last several years. I think you took this board through one of the most difficult times our country, our town and anybody could have ever gone through with COVID,” said Board President Grasso.
“I want to thank you on behalf of the board, because I know that it was a lot on you, time wise with your family, and you made a lot of sacrifices for us.”
