LAVALLETTE — Anthony Cataline was unanimously voted as planning board chairman on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the planning board reorganization meeting.
Afterwards, George Shenewolf was voted and approved to be the Vice Chairman.
“Mr. Shenewolf has been a very valuable asset to the board. His contributions and knowledge have been very helpful, and I think he would make a very good leader,” board member Joanne Filippone said on why she nominated Mr. Shenewolf for this role.
Five board members, Jennifer Hartman-Sica, John Bennett, Joanne Filippone, Anthony Cataline and Vincent Marino, were sworn in at the meeting.
Former Vice Chairman John Borowski, resigned, having his start with the planning board in 2016 as the mayor’s designee and alternate, becoming a member in 2019 being the vice chair for the last few years.
Former member Len Calderaro, also resigned, having started back in 2005.
Mr. Calderaro tendered his resignation due to health complications and Mr. Borowski due to personal issues, according to Mayor Walter LaCicero at the Nov. 14 council meeting.
Jennifer Hartman-Sica is now classified as the mayor’s designee, taking over the role from George Shenewolf, who was now sworn in as Class IV member.
