SEA GIRT — Councilwoman Diane Anthony was again selected to serve as president of the Sea Girt Borough Council at the governing body’s annual reorganization meeting Wednesday.
The meeting also featured swearing in ceremonies for numerous borough officials and employees, as well as announcements for 2023.
Ms. Anthony has served on the borough council since 2018 and was first named council president in 2021. Upon her renomination Wednesday night, she expressed appreciation to her fellow council members as well as “our Chief of Police and all of the management and staff here in Sea Girt.
“We really truly have a wonderful team and we also have the benefit of amazing organizations and volunteer efforts in our town.”
Ms. Anthony, who has been a borough resident for more than 20 years, is also a certified school nurse for the Long Branch School District.
