BRICK TOWNSHIP — Temple Beth Or’s Rabbi Robert Rubin led the Menorah Lighting in song, gave a dreidel demonstration and gave a history lesson on Hanukkah at the Monday, Dec. 19 event.
The event took place on the second night of Hanukkah at the Brick Township Municipal Building at 401 Chambers Bridge Road.
The night featured the lighting of the Menorah, singing and a demonstration of dreidels by Temple Beth Or’s Rabbi Robert Rubin.
Mr. Rubin said, “This is an annual get together and the township invites us and we are glad to be invited and it is a good opportunity to share the holidays with everybody.”
The outside Menorah was lit by Lauren Zycband of Brick Township, who recently won International United Miss New Jersey Teen 2022-2023 after the indoor portion of the Menorah Lighting was held.
Ms. Zycband’s lighting of the Menorah was the last part of the Monday, Dec. 19 Menorah Lighting ceremony.
