BRICK TOWNSHIP — Right on time for Thanksgiving preparations, the second annual Brick Township Thanksgiving Market took place on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Windward Beach Park.
“This year was large,” Mayor John Ducey said, “a lot more vendors than last year and a lot more people.”
With people engaged in Thanksgiving dinner preparations this week, the mayor said, “vendors that were focused on Thanksgiving such as vegetables, pies and cakes did excellent.”
So did a “soap vendor and the woodworking vendor,” he said, noting that visitors seemed to be taking the opportunity to do some early Christmas and holiday gift shopping.
“If you missed it this year, you missed out on something special,” Mayor Ducey said, “So make sure you mark the calendar for next year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.”
The full roster of vendors included sellers of farm produce, baked goods and other food specialties, and jewelry, crafts and other gift items.
