POINT PLEASANT — Wreaths Across America, an organization that works to honor the sacrifices made by members of the military services throughout the holiday season, is inviting community members to sponsor a veteran’s wreath in local cemeteries in time for this year’s National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 17.
White Lawn Cemetery, located on Trenton Avenue in Point Pleasant, is one of the many cemetery locations throughout the local area that is currently accepting sponsored wreaths for veterans. On Dec. 17 at 12 p.m., White Lawn will be holding a ceremony in accordance with National Wreaths Across America Day. Each name of the veterans buried at the cemetery will be read aloud along with the laying of the Remembrance wreaths.
