MANASQUAN – Four candidates– three incumbents and one challenger– vied for three available seats on the Board of Education in this year’s Nov. 8 election with the incumbents keeping their three seats.
Out of 5,260 votes cast, Joseph A. Loffredo, Jr. received 1,385 votes, Alfred J. Sorino, III, received 1,244, Thomas Pellegrino received 1,472. William H. Dibble, the challenger, was close behind with 1,118 votes. Write-ins made up 41 of the votes.
Manasquan also had two candidates running unopposed for two available three-year terms on the borough council. Newcomer Bruce D. Bresnahan received 1,983 votes and incumbent Gregg Olivera received 1,967.
