WALL TOWNSHIP — Teams from Wall Township Police Department, Wall Township PBA Local 234, Wall FMBA Local 75, Wall Township Emergency Medical Services and Wall Township Department of Public Works are joining forces to raise money for and awareness of men’s cancer programs and services at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold through the MoForNovember fundraiser.
Throughout the month, residents will see workers throughout Wall Township growing facial hair in support of this cause. This fundraiser helps raise awareness of and funds for men’s cancer programs and services at CentraState. Last year they had 225 participants who raised over $12,600.
Raffles will be held at the end of the event for gift cards.
Two sponsors, Eat Clean Bro and NY Shaving Company, offer discounts for the month of November and contribute to the cause.
The money raised in past years has provided for multiple cancer screenings and test kits at CentraState which resulted in positive findings of cancer. While this is tough news for someone to receive, early detection and diagnosis is key to treatment and recovery.
The crowdfunding site is justgiving.com/fundraising/walltwp.
