WALL TOWNSHIP — The Board of Education Tuesday voted unanimously to transfer former athletic director Thomas Ridoux to Wall Intermediate School as assistant vice principal and named former Old Mill School principal Eric Laughlin the new WIS principal.
Mr. Ridoux was placed on administrative leave by the school district on Nov. 11, 2021 during his tenure as the Wall High School athletic director, in response to the hazing investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mr. Laughlin’s appointment follows former WIS principal Erin Embon being put on administrative leave on April 13, with no word from the BOE as to why. Ms. Embon’s leave was announced a day after former Wall High School principal, Rose Sirchio, was also put on administrative leave.
The BOE refused to comment on the status of the leaves and no official letters have been sent to parents following April 13.
