BRADLEY BEACH — Mayor Larry Fox will lead borough residents on a walk for wellness along the beachfront on Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m.
The 1.8-mile walk will begin at the Fifth Avenue Gazebo. Participants will first walk south to Avon-by-the-Sea then north to Ocean Grove, said the mayor. A rain date of June 12 has been set.
The first walk of its kind took place in November and a second one was held in March.
Both walks saw a showing of approximately 100 participants, according to Mayor Fox.
“The big thing I encourage people to do is to walk with people you don’t know and then learn who they are in town and have a conversation about living in Bradley Beach,” said the mayor. “That really got a lot of enthusiasm from people after the walk.”
Local businesses in the borough will participate in giveaways during the walk. “We’re trying to key in on the health businesses,” said Mayor Fox.
