Familiar faces return to the BOE


BRADLEY BEACH — During the Board of Education reorganization meeting for Bradley Beach, three returning members of the Board were re-elected.

Dr. Elizabeth Franks was sworn in for another term. The board nominated Dr. Franks as President, a role that she has served diligently since 2018, which was met with unanimous approval. 

Bridget Devane, who received 902 votes during the election, was sworn in and subsequently nominated as Vice President. All members present voted in favor of her appointment to the position.


Felicia Sacci, who ran in the 2020 election for a one-year unexpired term, will serve her first full three-year term alongside current board members Barbara Carlucci, Liza Flynn, Margaret Merenda, Joanne Shu Hofsess, Roseann Caruso Walker and April Davis. She was sworn in as the final returning member of the board.

The next meeting of the Bradley Beach Board of Education will be on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 7:00 p.m.
