BRADLEY BEACH — A group of policies and regulations including the school’s restart and recovery plan, school employee vaccination requirements and contracts for goods or services funded by federal grants were approved by the board of education 8-1 at its Tuesday evening meeting.

Superintendent and principal, Stephen Wisniewski, stated that during the policy committee reading there were unanimous decisions on each different policy and regulation except for two of the items which were The Road Forward COVID-19 and school employee vaccination requirements.

In total, the board voted on 22 policies and regulations which were up for second reading with board member Margaret Merenda voting no on two of the items.

Due to the approval being unanimous, Mr. Wisniewski gave Ms. Merenda an opportunity to voice her feelings on the issue.

Ms. Merenda first thanked Mr. Wisniewski and the policy committee for updating some of the policies’ language, and for adding information regarding informed consent, and for engaging in a dialogue around the policies.
