SPRING LAKE — The Spring Lake Public Library is hosting a Thanksgiving food drive, Food For Fines, through Nov. 19.

Non-perishable food items needed include: low sodium canned vegetables, boxed stuffing mix, canned cranberry sauce, canned turkey gravy, pie crusts, boxed corn muffin mix and canned or boxed soups and broths. Glass jars or expired items cannot be accepted. Manual can openers are also needed. Donations will be used to help those in need at Thanksgiving.

The library will reduce patrons’ fines by $1 for every item donated. Those who do not have fines are also encouraged to donate.
